Advanced Healing Arts Wins Health and Wellness Company of the Year Scotland 2026

I am incredibly proud to share that Advanced Healing Arts has been named Health and Wellness Company of the Year Scotland 2026 at the Prestige Awards.

It is a huge achievement for my business, and one that feels particularly special because of how much work, learning and personal experience have gone into building Advanced Healing Arts.

When I first started my journey into acupuncture, I knew I wanted to create something that felt different. My background as an athlete, including representing Great Britain in skiing and playing football, taught me a huge amount about the body, recovery and the importance of looking after yourself properly. Later, becoming an acupuncturist gave me a completely different understanding of health.

My own experiences have also shaped the way I work. Having undergone 11 surgeries throughout my life, I understand what it feels like to be on the other side of the treatment room. I know what it is like to experience pain, uncertainty and the frustration that can come with recovery. Those experiences have given me an even greater appreciation for treating the person rather than simply focusing on a symptom.

Advanced Healing Arts has grown from that philosophy.

My approach combines Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element acupuncture and more advanced channel-based approaches, alongside techniques including cupping, Gua Sha and moxibustion. But for me, acupuncture has never been about simply putting needles into someone and sending them on their way. It is about listening.

It is about understanding the individual in front of me, noticing the subtle things that can sometimes be overlooked and trying to understand what may be happening beneath the surface.

I have always wanted my treatment rooms to feel calm, welcoming and safe. I want people to feel that they can arrive exactly as they are, without judgement, and that we have the time to properly understand what is going on.

Winning this award means so much because it recognises not only the business, but the values behind it.

I am incredibly grateful to every person who has trusted me with their health, recommended me to a friend or family member, left a review, shared my posts or simply supported my journey. A small independent business is built through those individual relationships, and I never take that for granted.

I am also incredibly grateful to the practitioners and teachers who have influenced my development over the years. I am constantly learning and developing my understanding of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and I hope that never changes.

For me, this award isn't the end point. It is encouragement to keep learning, keep developing and keep creating the kind of practice that I originally set out to build.

There are lots of plans for the future of Advanced Healing Arts, including continuing my clinical education, developing the practice further and eventually creating a space where different areas of health and wellbeing can come together under one roof.

For now, though, I am taking a moment to appreciate this.

Health and Wellness Company of the Year Scotland 2026.

What started as an idea to combine my passion for health, the body and acupuncture has grown into something I am incredibly proud to call my own.

Certificate for my business

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far.
